It has been cold, so I have been sewing…

Made a skirt and pouch for R using amazing fabric from Malawi that Elise brought her. There is one more piece, but I think it looks like it should either become the back of a chair or sofa, or a lovely tablecloth as it has a 2’ + mandala in the middle.

These are the second go; the first is this blouse and pouch I finished in early January. The top was interesting. I lengthened it 6 inches, and the shoulders are 3 sizes bigger than the waist. Athletes – sheesh!

Also stitched up a matching robe and baby blanket for my niece, who is due in a few weeks…

And some waterproof lunch sacks I have in my Etsy store -Wolf’s Threads…

After this week’s 18” of snow, I am thrilled to be headed to CA for a couple of weeks with my love. Counting on warmer than 8° this evening!

an evening’s work

I made a couple of things tonight.  First, this earbud case for Kate – the inside is bright red.  She had already filled it, so it is bumpy…

And then a case for Rachel’s new computer.  The outside is heavy wool and pretty traditional, but those cats decided to play when she opens up the case…  Hope it keeps the machine safe and sound, too.
